Happy reunion! Yvonne Shaw
hosted a glorious welcome party at her house in
beautiful Sansouci part of Nassau on July 13, 2006,
seconded and assisted by generous Ian Mortemore,
member of noted Skal International
global travel association, has a wonderful
situation at the Nassau Flight Services
and Pertrina Lightbourne McPhee
who busies herself with the
Nassau Gaming Board,
keeping an eye on the casinos in the Bahamas!
Yvonne is now associated with the Bahama Journal.
Thanks to your brilliant organizational and
hospitality skills this reunion came about, the
Dream Come True Reunion in Nassau July 2006!
provided by Yvonne and Air Bahama crew colleagues
and tropical drinks served by a jovial bartender,
friend of the family! Many tearful meetings between
airline friends who hadnt met for decades took place
and we all knot new links of friendships and contacts,
talked about all the people of Air
Bahama and how great the flying days were.

The faces are hard to make out due to the poor focus,
caused by a still poorer photographer, I was presented with
a state of the art digital camera by my family before leaving
for the Bahamas, so it takes an engineer to operate the darling
... slowly getting there ...

Angelina van Oortmarsen stood by her aviation career and still flies KLM Dutch airline living in Holland. She brought her two children to reunion in Nassau! Liana Mori flew in from Canada to celebrate Air Bahama Dream Come True Reunion! Gerda Prezeu left Air Bahama to fly for LUFTHANSA and still lives in Germany, she is of Bahamian origin and came home for Air Bahama crew reunion. Carnetha Carew, Rogann Huyler, Vivica Watkins, Althea Bodie and Pandorra Storr all Nassau residents were there, as well as Diane Wildgoose, Beverly McKinney with lovely daughter Pamela with boyfriend and Daphne Kerr Johnson from Freeport, Bahamas. Olive Rolle Schneider came from Luxembourg / Belgium to celebrate crew reunion in her homeland Bahamas! Nassau resident since 40 years back Margreth Snorradottir Johnson originating from Iceland, attended reunion welcome party at Yvonne“s house accompanied by sweet daughter Nadja who is shortly moving to Iceland! Good luck with your new adventure Nadja! How great to meet you all and what a wonderful feast in tropical Nassau paradise!
Captain Arthur Bunch attended welcome party at Yvonne“s house as well as captain John Gordon. Captain & Mrs Arlette Hutchinson came to celebrate Air Bahama friendship reunion! 1970 to 1982 Air Bahama sales director and Nassau resident Hans Borghardt originating from Holland was there and from Luxembourg Europe Georgette Frisch Kohn and Yvette Moos Pauletto arrived, Romy Baesens came from Florida accompanied by a friend. Elisabeth Karlson Gyllman and husband Uffe came from Sweden.
Nassau is paradise. Hope to meet soon again, maybe in Dublin Ireland next summer of 2007 or at the Air Bahama Caribbean Cruise 40 year jubilee in 2008! Start planning now! There were so many impressions and so much to take in, I am still at the reunion in my mind, havent really left ...and never will, Nassau is paradise. Hope we meet soon again!
