INTERNATIONAL AIR BAHAMA CREW WEBRING

AIRPLANE MODELS

I do these drawings as a bit of a
pastime/hobby, but occasionally I am
lucky enough to get them printed in a
magazine.

I chose the IAB 707 kind of by accident,
as I was thinking of writing an article
about Bahamas World Airways for Airways
Magazine, they operated 707s out of Nassau
in the mid 70s. Then I got side-tracked while
researching . . . The IAB 707 was the one
IAB aircraft I never saw! As child I lived
in South London and would regularly see DC8s
routing over our house at about FL350, e/r
LUX-SNN, but I did not really get into 'planes
till I was 10 in 1970, so missed out on the
707.

The colour-scheme was (is) quite unique and
even at 35000ft caught my eye on the ground,
later on I occasionally saw the 'red bellied'
DC8s at Heathrow operation for Loftleidir or
Seaboard.

Anyway, I hope you like it.
