Gerrit van OortmarssenIn MemoriamDear Angelina, we feel the unspeakable grief with you, we love you. airplane crash. Gerrit had a fatal accident with his Piper Malibu plane at the age of 65, on December 14, 2008. He was by himself on his way from England, where he lived, to Hungary, and intended to make an intermediate stop near Vienna Austria to pick up a business associate. He was an excellent pilot with 40 years experience. He was up to the present working at Elekta, a Swedish company, where he was a long time member of the Executive Committee. Gerrit will be immensely wissed by those who knew and loved him. He will be laid to rest near his father on January 2, 2009 in Hilversum, Holland. Angelina van OortmarssenSpeaking from Elekta’s head office in Sweden, vice-president Peter Ejemyr said: “Gerry was a very energetic, fun and positive person to be around. He had a fantastic attitude and a tremendous way of making very strong and long relationships with clinicians around the world.” |
