LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED!

Season´s Greetings from
Major Norman Ricketts

founder of IAB now retired and living
in Somerset, England.
Christmas is upon us and the New Year
is not far ahead. In sending a message
of good will to all the wonderful IAB
family I am hoping that the stressful
time which so many across the world are
facing, will not be felt too seriously
by any of you as 2012 progresses.
My wife and family join with me in
wishing you all a happy Christmas and
bright New Year.

I recall 1968 and that wonderful summer
in Dublin, Nassau and Luxembourg which
gave rise to a new experience for so
many who flew for IAB over the years
that followed. Together we pioneered
something which was new to aviation in
it’s concept and innovation; using a
brand new Boeing 320 C aircraft
painted in it’s beautiful Bahamian
livery, flown by multi million miles
air crew, this Bahamian enterprise with
faultless super service, connected the
newly developing Bahamas with the
continent of Europe, bringing
valuable exposure to both Luxembourg
and The Bahamas and was the first
LCC regular all jet service on the
North Atlantic. It made a valuable
contribution to the economies of both
nations at no expense to them.

Now in my 90th year, I look back with
wonderment at what you all have
achieved in progressing the IAB family
website which now exists through
different “airwaves”.
Long may it continue.
