A last greeting from Anne & Gary Cash

I have some sad news,
this morning I received a
card from Charlene Brown,
telling me that Brownie
(Richard Brown FE) passed
away on the 17th of November,
he had been ill over 3 years
and spent the last 18 months
in a nursing home.

Brownie was a fine human
being with great humour.
May his soul rest in peace.

RICHARD BROWN - ASHLAND OHIO
Born Tuesday, December 10th, 1929
Died Saturday, November 17th, 2012

Richard Nathan Brown, 82 of Ashland passed away, Saturday, November 17, 2012
in the Crystal Care Center following an extended illness.

He was born on December 10, 1929 in Fostoria and was the son of the late,
Leighton and Roena (nee Phillips) Brown. Richard graduated from Madison
High School, Class of 1948. Following high school, Richard proudly served
his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Air Force.
He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of dedication.

Richard went on to work as a Flight Engineer for International Air Bahama
and Overseas National Airways. He retired in 1992 from Emery World Wide after
having worked more than 44 years.

Richard married the former Charlene Ewing Braden on December 6, 1975. He was
a member of the American Legion Post #16 in Mansfield.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years of marriage, Charlene Brown of Ashland;
three sons, Russell Brown of Hawaii, Ronnie Brown of California, and Dale
Brown of Wisconsin; two step-sons, Clay (Leslie) Braden of Perrysville and
Scott (Jean) Braden of Beach City; and numerous grandchildren and great-
grandchildren and one brother, Walter Brown.

In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by one son, Dana
Brown who passed away in 1992; and a sister, Corine Parnell.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. in
the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman with Reverend Tom Snyder
officiating. At Richard’s request, cremation will take place and there will
be no other services.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio,
1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland, OH 44805.

Denbow-Primm-Kemery Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
