![]() Dear Friends, It is with great sadness that I inform you that my darling husband Gunnar Oddur past away this morning, November 30, 2005. His battle with cancer came to a peaceful end with his family at his bedside. We are so lucky to have all the wonderful memories of a good husband, father and friend. Gunnar will be laid to rest on Monday Dec. 5th at 13:00 hrs. here in Reykjavik, Iceland. We know that you will be with us in thought as we remember him and the wonderful times we had together. It is with great sorrow we acknowledge the passing of Gunnar Oddur Sigurdsson, Air Bahama Nassau Station Manager 1969. He was a much appreciated friend and colleague and will be greatly missed. I have dear memories from visiting your beautiful home in Reykjavik while Jake was still here, enjoying your great hospitality, (I remember we had fresh salmon) and the friendship with you and Gunnar. Joni Jacobs went to military school in Reykjavik, so Jake and I often visited. Farewell dear Gunnar, at last you are in no pain and can come to rest with all the other airline guys in heaven above. Gunnar and lovely wife Margaret (Doddy) attended the Air Bahama reunion! Bredewee Restaurant, Luxembourg Ville ![]() This restaurant sitting on the verge of a tremendous downslope at the old Luxembourg armaments, is owned by Mr. Guy Poirot. The name of the restaurant is Breedewee ("Wideview" in Luxembourgisch!) the address is 9 rue Large and the phone number is 22 26 36 - in case you want to go there .... Gunnar Sigurdsson of Reykjavik, Iceland, Air Bahama Nassau Station Manager in 1969 and wife Doddy. One of their sons is a Loftleidir pilot. Margret Snorradottir Johnson who works at the Atlantic Hotel in Nassau and her companion David. Elisabeth Karlson at far end, Eva Jacobs and Roland Franberg and at very right Gunilla Hammar Safstrom of London England. What a magic day we had sightseeing in Luxembourg. It was as tho we never left. It was as tho we´d been there all along .... |
