Wonderful photos on the IAB crew web! I have a 
correction on the photos (below!) from David 
Stone / JD´son. n photo no 2 to the right of 
the one of JD and Don in the cockpit, JD is to 
the left, the two of us and Larry Swartz to 
the right, BUT that is not Larry, it´s Will 
Rogers. He flew co-pilot with IAB, maybe captain 
after I quit.

Later he flew captain for Larry Grew's crewing 
company in Fort Lauderdale. He was the captain 
of a DC-8 accident during landing in Suriname. 
The passengers were a soccer team and it all 
happened during a bad weather landing. Co-pilot 
was Charlie Rose, Pan Am and it was 1985 or 
-86 while I was with Pan Am.

One of the unknowns in the group photo is 
Brownie, Charlie Brown and the pilot outside 
the LUX office is Emmet Hayes. These are 
still the J.D.(David) Stone pictures I am 
referring to.

I am busy teaching initial f/a training 
classes and recurrent ones at the Delta Atlanta 
training center for World Airways.
A lot of trees are now forever gone from Miami 
Lakes where the Wilma hurricane did a lot 
of damage. Whatever tree did not fall, lost 
the majority of foilage and branches, and is 
a fall like feeling as all leaves have fallen 
and we will see what returns in a few weeks 
in our normally permanent summerlike community.
I had my two little grand boys Keiran and 
Aidan with me during the hurricane. 

It puts a spin on your imagination when a 4 
and 5 year old is with no power at your home 
for an extended time period. We had picnics 
on the floor at the dining room glass doors, 
the only ones with no storm shutters and 
some daylight. 

Candle light and food on the grill was exciting, 
heat and mosquitos were not. It all went well 
and I am one more experience richer for 
having managed.
