After leaving IAB I tried real estate for a while but then got back with Braniff. I was still with them until Braniff collapsed (the first time) in 1982. I had a few more single trips until 1983. Then a few ground jobs until 1992 when I retired just in time to be wiped out by Hurricane Andrew. Having the house rebuilt (and that's another story) and sold, Marie and I executed that military strategy of getting the hell out of there! We ended up in the mountains of North Carolina. Wonderful summers but a few feeble snows in the winter.  Braniff, the airline with the crazy outfits! CREW REUNION! |
