Johannes Solvason passed away on February 20, 2007

It is with the deepest regrets I must inform you that our colleague and good friend Johannes Solvason passed away yesterday morning. Johannes retired from his position as Accounting Manager for the Western Region in 2002, after 36 years of service to Icelandair. Besides being an excellent controller of the company's affairs for many years, and one of the most company loyal persons I have ever met, he was also a great "father figure" for our office, and a good friend. Johannes will be remembered as wonderful person with lots of integrity, wisdom, and concerns for the well-being of colleagues.
